About The Founder
Tiat Jin (TJ) Ooi is the founder of ESSEA Foresight, drawing on his extensive experience in market intelligence and consulting across Asia. Before establishing ESSEA Foresight, TJ led Curated Connectors and served as the lead consultant for the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) E-S-I Knowledge Lab, where he gained valuable insights into the challenges businesses face when navigating the region’s fast-evolving markets.

Originally from Singapore, TJ has traveled extensively throughout ASEAN and Greater Asia, observing firsthand the opportunities and challenges for businesses entering these markets. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Manchester and a Master of Global Trade from RMIT University (Melbourne/Saigon), blending technical expertise with deep global trade knowledge.
